PHOENIX (Tuesday, July 19, 2016) -- FC Arizona, the Valley of the Sun's newest professional soccer team, is slated to kick off its inaugural season in a centrally located stadium in March 2017.
"We are committed to developing a world-class, forward-thinking sports organization that Phoenix residents can be proud of," FC Arizona owner Scott Taylor said. "Our front office and coaching staff appointments are top class, and can be found on our website fcarizona.com. On August 5th at Mesa Community College, every soccer fan in Phoenix is invited to attend our official launch party, where we'll be revealing our team jersey, our first signed player, and our plans for upgrading the MCC stadium to maximize the game day experience ."
"Our organization will be busy over the next few months as we look for ways for our organization to connect with the community in a meaningful way to create a lasting support culture for pro soccer here. Further details regarding our camps that will be coached by players with Major League Soccer experience and the league we are playing in will be released at a later date. There are four leagues in this country that are considered to be professional. We will be competing in one of them. The league will be making the official announcement in September. Regardless of the league, the quality of play will be some of the best in the U.S. Until then, we are looking very forward to meeting and connecting with every soccer fan in the Valley on a personal level. We are committed to building a team that Phoenix residents will be proud to call their own."
